Nacida en Badajoz y licenciada en Periodismo, comenzó su carrera profesional en los servicios informativos de Radio Nacional de España-Extremadura, de donde pasa, como jefa de informativos, a RNE-Aragón, a la vez que colabora Diario 16. Desde  2012, es copresentadora del programa líder de la radio española Hoy por hoy de la Cadena SER. Posteriormente, en 2014, se incorpora al equipo de Un tiempo nuevo en Telecinco como colaboradora hasta 2015, fecha en la que sustituirá a Risto Mejide al frente de Viajando con Chester en Cuatro.

Born in Badajoz and holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid. She began her career in news services with the National Radio of Spain-Extremadura. She then worked as news manager at RNE-Aragón in collaboration with Diario 16. Since 2012, she co-presents the Spanish radio program Hoy por hoyof Cadena SER. Researcher and activist focused on poverty and inequality. In the last decade, he has been actively involved in research and policy initiatives related to global migration, with a particular interest in the alternatives to the current regime. He is currently in charge of the policy analysis area in ISGlobal and he is Research Director in Fundación porCausa, apart from working as a research associate for migrations at the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) in London. There he founded Malaespina Producciones, a video production company. He has produced documentaries about the housing crisis in California; the cultural life of immigrant communities; the Dreamers movement; the US-Mexico and the Mexico-Guatemala borders, and the immigrant rights movement in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada and Texas. Martín has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid. After earning her master’s degree of El País from the UAM, she moved to Brazil to work as editor and reporter at la Folha de S. Paulo, the prestigious Brazilian newspaper. In 2013, she became part of the team that launched the Brazilian edition of El País. She was a Brazilian correspondent until February 2018 and has since covered migratory issues since June of the same year.
